All I have to say is that the Red Sox are officially pretenders, they came out of the gates hot but have been floundering as of late, losing almost every game to .500 and over teams in the month of August this is not a team I would put my faith in. The starting pitching has gone cold and so have their bats. However, Vegas is still giving them massively juiced lines, Boston is coming in at -216 on the money line today providing some huge value for the pesky Twins. I see this more as a pick ‘em game, and I would back the Twins to win tonight if i had to pick, but since we are getting such a huge line I will take the insurance with Twins +1.5 @ -105. The Twins have looked good recently, and the bullpen has been playing well. It is a lost season for a team most projected to make the playoffs, in their recent series, aside from the Yankees they have been playing very well. Neither of these teams will make the playoffs, in a grudge match I see the Twins taking game 1 and I will be backing them at +1.5 tonight.
